We printed and shipped a few thousand training manuals for Mardochee to use in churches and with pastors in addressing alcoholism in the country.
I attended more all-night prayer meetings in Chad than we ever did in College. And there is no lull. For 12 hours. Straight. Some big & some small.
My church in N'djamena travels to the southern part of Chad twice a year to host a three day conference. The topic for the fall conference was that Christ compels us to excellence in all things. Listening to the sermons, it struck me that this message more than any other message will drive economic development. It challenged me to consider my own laziness and lack of excellence. It also reminded me of German history and their economic revivals.
We helped setup an initial office for ICLAT & CHOA. The mud bricked buildings seen in the pictures will be torn down and replaced with concrete structures.
We helped sponsor the construction of a pavilion for Campus for Christ to host ecumenical trainings and meetings in the capital. The pavilion will provide space for a few hundred people. You can see the beginnings of the building below.
